2nd Electrician

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Electro-Technical Team is a small dedicated all-star team whose responsibilities include monitoring all electrical equipment and systems aboard one of our fabulous vessels! This includes power generation, control systems, radio communications, and electronic navigation aids to maximize the operational safety and efficiency of the vessel.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that all aspects of the company's occupational health and safety programs are applied during working activities
  • Update the stock levels of the electrical storeroom and strategic spare parts when requested by superiors, communicate with Storekeeper, and assist in periodical inventories if required.
  • Performing the routine and/or emergency interventions on equipment necessary for the navigation (i.e. Radar, GMDSS) and equipment necessary for the Guest Service (i.e. TV System, Telephone System, Entertainment equipment, etc.)
  • Responsible that the automation system, power generation and electricity management, propulsion system in general, and security systems are in order and in function at all times, under the supervision of SETO
  • Participate in the Engine Control Room duties during manoeuvring in confined waters and approaches, according to the Engine Resource Management (ERM) in case of need, supporting SETO
REQUIREMENTS
  • GRADE 12
  • South African passport
  • Minimum 24-36 months of shipboard experience on a cruise ship as an Electro- Technical officer
  • Electro-Technical Engineer (bachelor's or master's degree) preferred technical training.

Automation Test Engineer

We are currently recruiting a highly skilled Position Name who is ready and willing to relocate to the UK to join their dynamic and innovative team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in creating effective automation test strategies and plans. 
  • Experience in test automation using at least two proprietary or Open Source tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Tricentis Tosca, or Smart Bear Test Complete 
  • Experience creating or adapting automation frameworks 
  • Familiarity with at least one OOP language (Java, Python, C# etc.) 
  • Creating test scripts within a BDD environment using Cucumber, SpecFlow or similar 
  • Ability to manage and maintain versions of test assets in GIT and other repositories 
  • Experience of working in Agile / DevOps environments 
  • Hands on experience of various test types (manual and automation) such as Functional, API, web and mobility 
  • Experience with CI / CD Pipelines using Jenkins (Azure DevOps, or similar) and integrating automation assets into the pipeline 
  • Experience of managing a team and stakeholders at all levels 
  • Ability to collaborate with developers, testers, analysts, architects, and other members across the organisation. 
  • ISEB / ISTQB or equivalent certification in testing at foundation level or above (or willingness to obtain an ISTQB Foundation, soon after joining us, which we will cover the cost of the exam)  


SKILLS
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the industry.
  • OOP language such as Java, Python, C# 
  • Functional Test tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Tricentis Tosca, or SmartBear TestComplete Test management tools such as Jira, TFS, ALM 
  • Experience of working in waterfall, agile and DevOps environments 
  • Other tooling such as Postman. Ready API, Soap UI 
  • Data masking and data subsetting 
  • BDD approaches using Cucumber or SpecFlow

Galley Service Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

Galley & Hotel Service Technician are the behind-the-scenes superstars who support the culinary team by ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of all Galley equipment mechanical, electrical and electronic components. You will be part of the amazing Engine Team on board reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager but working closely with the number of the Hotel Managers to ensure all the equipment in the Main Galley, Crew Galley, Services Galley, Pantries and Specialty restaurant Dish and Glass Washers is fully functional and ready to serve our guest needs.  

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preventive maintenance, upkeep and troubleshooting of the following Galley and Main Laundry equipment mechanical, electrical, and electronic components
  • Perform the comprehensive electrical/electronic* and mechanical maintenance (where indicated and trained), repair, routine testing and automation trouble shooting of the above-mentioned equipment.
  • Ensure the inventory of strategic spare parts onboard is sufficient to adequately maintain each machine for which he/she is responsible.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the equipment for which he/she is responsible.
REQUIREMENTS
  • GRADE 12
  • South African passport
  • 2+ years direct experience with mechanical equipment, electrical and electronic components (Galley/ Culinary/Electrical)
