JOB DESCRIPTION
A hotel storekeeper manages a hotel's inventory of supplies, including linens, cleaning supplies, and other items used for daily operations. They also receive and store deliveries, and ensure that the hotel's inventory levels are maintained.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, store, and issue supplies
- Conduct regular stock checks
- Identify shortages, excess stock, or other issues
- Monitor and control inventory management costs
- Make requests for supplies
- Receive deliveries
- Supervise and train assistant storekeepers
- Enforce company standards and procedures
- Ensure that all areas of responsibility are kept in clean and sanitized condition
- Ensure that Cold rooms and freezers are maintained at the recommended temperatures
- Ensure that stock on hand is accounted for
- Keep storerooms locked when not in use
- Handle customer concerns or complaints effectively
REQUIREMENTS
- GRADE 12
- South African passport
- Basic understanding of inventory and cost control practices
- Knowledge of Fidelio MMS, Crunch-time, or similar systems
- Experience in a similar role
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Good basic knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of work or any ERP software
