Storekeeper (Land Based- Dubai)

JOB DESCRIPTION

A hotel storekeeper manages a hotel's inventory of supplies, including linens, cleaning supplies, and other items used for daily operations. They also receive and store deliveries, and ensure that the hotel's inventory levels are maintained. 


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receive, store, and issue supplies
  • Conduct regular stock checks
  • Identify shortages, excess stock, or other issues
  • Monitor and control inventory management costs
  • Make requests for supplies
  • Receive deliveries
  • Supervise and train assistant storekeepers
  • Enforce company standards and procedures
  • Ensure that all areas of responsibility are kept in clean and sanitized condition
  • Ensure that Cold rooms and freezers are maintained at the recommended temperatures
  • Ensure that stock on hand is accounted for
  • Keep storerooms locked when not in use
  • Handle customer concerns or complaints effectively


REQUIREMENTS
  • GRADE 12
  • South African passport
  • Basic understanding of inventory and cost control practices
  • Knowledge of Fidelio MMS, Crunch-time, or similar systems
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Good basic knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of work or any ERP software
