JOB DESCRIPTION


  • Stock Management:

Regularly performing physical inventory counts of all stock items across the hotel.

Maintaining accurate inventory records using a computerized system.

Monitoring stock levels to identify potential shortages or overstocking issues.

Analyzing usage patterns to optimize ordering quantities.

  • Purchasing and Ordering:

Placing orders with suppliers based on inventory levels and forecasted demand.

Negotiating prices and delivery terms with vendors.

Receiving deliveries and verifying quantities against purchase orders.

  • Cost Control:

Identifying and addressing discrepancies in inventory levels.

Implementing strategies to minimize waste and spoilage

Monitoring costs associated with inventory and identifying areas for cost reduction

  • Reporting and Analysis:

Generating regular inventory reports detailing stock levels, usage trends, and cost analysis

Identifying areas for improvement in inventory management practices

Communicating inventory data to relevant departments within the hotel 


REQUIREMENTS
  • GRADE 12
  • South African passport
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and software
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different departments
  • Basic understanding of purchasing procedures and supplier management
