Housekeeping Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Housekeeping Supervisor on a cruise line, you will oversee and manage the housekeeping team to ensure that all guest cabins and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and order. You will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, providing leadership and training to housekeeping staff, and ensuring exceptional service for guests. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced maritime environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
• Inspect guest cabins and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and maintenance standards. 
• Address and resolve any issues related to cleanliness, maintenance, or guest complaints promptly. 
• Handle guest complaints and concerns professionally, seeking resolution and ensuring guest satisfaction. 
• Report any shortages or issues with supplies to the Housekeeping Manager and coordinate reordering as needed. 
• Provide ongoing training and support to housekeeping staff to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to company standards. 

REQUIREMENTS

• GRADE 12
• South African passport
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
