JOB DESCRIPTION
A Housekeeping Administrator on a cruise line plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the housekeeping department. This position is primarily administrative, focusing on coordination, record-keeping, and support for the housekeeping team, ensuring that passenger and crew accommodations are well-maintained and meet high standards.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain housekeeping department records, such as cleaning schedules, inspection reports, inventory logs, and maintenance requests.
  • Monitor stock levels of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities. 
  • Serve as a liaison between the housekeeping team and other departments such as guest services, maintenance, and laundry. 
  • Log and manage all lost and found items, ensuring secure storage and proper documentation. 
  • Ensure that cleaning checklists and standards are followed.
  • Assist in monitoring guest feedback and reports related to housekeeping issues.
  • Ensure housekeeping operations comply with maritime health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
  • Input data and generate operational reports for supervisors and senior management


REQUIREMENTS
  • GRADE 12
  • South African Passport
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with hospitality or cruise line housekeeping operations.
