Electrical Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Electrical Technician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role involves diagnosing electrical issues, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure reliable operation. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to blueprints, specifications, and codes. Ensure that installations meet safety and quality standards.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions in systems and equipment. Replace or repair defective components and wiring. 
• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and safety practices. 
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electrical problems and determine the appropriate solutions. Perform tests to ensure systems are functioning correctly. 

REQUIREMENTS

• GRADE 12
• South African passport
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
