JOB DESCRIPTION

The Chef de Partie (CDP) is responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, managing food preparation, cooking, and presentation in that area. The role involves leading a team within the designated section, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and contributing to the overall efficiency of kitchen operations. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and manage food preparation in your designated section (e.g., grill, pastry, sauces).
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented consistently and meet the quality standards of the restaurant. 
  • Assist in ordering and managing stock levels of ingredients specific to your section. 
  • Contribute to menu development by providing input on new dishes, ingredients, and seasonal offerings. 
  • Maintain clear communication with the Sous Chef, Head Chef, and other kitchen staff.
REQUIREMENTS
  • GRADE 12
  • South African passport
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience  
  • Qualification in Hospitality
