JOB DESCRIPTION


  • Guest Check-in/Check-out Transactions:

Accurately processing guest payments upon check-in and check-out, including room charges, additional services, and any outstanding balances. 

  • Cash Handling:

Receiving cash payments, making change, and ensuring proper cash float management. 

  • Credit Card Processing:

Verifying and processing credit card payments, following security protocols. 

  • Daily Reconciliation:

Balancing cash drawers at the end of each shift, reconciling transactions with reports generated by the property management system. 

  • Financial Reporting:

Generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports on cash receipts, credit card sales, and other financial data. 

  • Guest Account Management:

Updating guest accounts with charges and payments, resolving any discrepancies. 

  • Foreign Currency Exchange:

Calculating and processing foreign currency exchange transactions for international guests. 

  • Customer Service:

Providing friendly and helpful service to guests, addressing inquiries regarding billing and payments. 


REQUIREMENTS
  • GRADE 12
  • South African passport
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and calculations
  • Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS)
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transactions
  • Effective communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
