Bar Utility

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Bar Utility is responsible for supporting bar operations by performing a range of tasks to ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked. This role involves assisting bar staff with various duties, including cleaning, stocking, and maintaining equipment, to facilitate smooth and efficient beverage service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains the cleanliness of the bar work areas and follows proper washing and sanitation of glasses, work areas, utensils, pantries, floors, equipment, etc.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
• Replenish bar supplies such as glassware, garnishes, ice, and drink ingredients. Ensure that all items are properly stored and easily accessible.
• Support bartenders and bar servers by providing them with the necessary tools and ingredients needed for efficient service. 
• Follow all health, safety, and legal regulations related to food and beverage service, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.

REQUIREMENTS

• GRADE 12
• South African passport
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
