Assistant Fitter Mechanic

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Fitter Mechanics help to maintain and repair our ship technical, Galley and Laundry equipment.  Assistant Fitter mechanics play a vital part in ensuring all equipment is functioning properly to ensure we can provide the best amenities and services to our guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in performing major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work in marine equipment to determine needs for repairs or adjustments. 
• Assists in the repair and maintenance of hydraulic equipment and valves. 
• Preventing spares and tools from being damaged due to poor handling or exposure to the weather. 
• Assisting in the maintenance and repair of the ship's laundry and Galley equipment. 
• Adhere to all environmental policies and procedures 

REQUIREMENTS

• GRADE 12
• South African passport
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
