Assistant Electrician 3

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Electrician 3 is a skilled position on a cruise ship, responsible for supporting the Chief Electrician in the maintenance, repair, and operation of the vessel’s electrical systems. This role involves advanced technical tasks, supervision of junior staff, and ensuring that electrical systems operate efficiently and safely. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform advanced electrical maintenance and repairs on complex systems, including high-voltage equipment, generators, and control systems. 
• Conduct preventive maintenance according to the maintenance schedule and report any recurring issues to the Chief Electrician. 
• Ensure all electrical work complies with maritime safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. 
• Collaborate with other departments and engineering staff to support ship operations and address any electrical needs or challenges. 

REQUIREMENTS

• GRADE 12
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
• South African Passport
