AQUATIC STAGE STAFF

JOB DESCRIPTION

Aquatic stage staff plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of water-based performances.  This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

REQUIREMENTS 

• GRADE 12
• South African passport
• Minimum Open Water certified by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) or other globally- recognized equivalent diving agency (SSI, SDI, NAUI).
• Can dive using SCUBA apparatus, including full face mask.
• Can work underwater in a confined pool for 60 minutes or more during a live performance.

ALL CANDIDATES WHO APPLY FOR THE ROLE MUST PREPARE A 4-5 MINUTE VIDEO DEMONSTRATING THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

• Swimming Skills (Backstroke, breaststroke)
• Underwater or surface swimming while using full diving gear/masks (not scuba gear)
• Mask " re- sets" 
• Dives using a full- face mask
• Approved PADI hand signals
• Getting out of the water with tank on
• 'Buddy" check- checking 'buddy' equipment to ensure safety
