Maintenance Manager (Land Based)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Manager who oversees the maintenance department, ensuring that facilities and equipment are properly maintained, safe, and operational. This role involves managing staff, coordinating repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and lead the maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities. 
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively. 
• Oversee repairs to facilities, machinery, and equipment, ensuring timely and effective solutions. 
• Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective practices and resource allocation. 
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards. 
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks. 
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and inventory of parts and supplies. 

REQUIREMENTS

• GRADE 12
• Qualification in facility management or related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a luxury hotel
